RIP Dr Masaru Emoto

RIP Dr Masaru Emoto, with deep gratitude for your incredible life’s work of our interconnected energies and the vibrational patterns captured in ice.

We Must begin by learning what it means to have enough… to feel gratitude for having been born on a planet so rich in nature and gratitude for the water that makes out life possible. If you open your eyes you will see that the world is full of so much that deserves our gratitude. When you have become the embodiment of gratitude, think about how pure the water that fills your body will be. When this happens, you, yourself will be a beautiful shining crystal of light.

– Dr. Masaru Emoto. Messages from Water

Courage to be ‘YOU’

The ‘Mask’ we choose to wear, to protect our vulnerable and sensitive selves is the part of us who other people know. It is not the real you. In fact, if you removed the ‘Mask’, you may find your family and friends or other people saying; “you’ve changed, you’re not like you used to be”, “what’s different, you are not the same old …”.

Would you like to remove the negative emotions of Anger, Fear, Sadness, Guild, Shame, Frustration and the limiting beliefs that sound like a little ‘Black Bird’ is sitting on your left shoulder, incessantly chirping away like a broken old taper recorder. Chirping “you are stupid, you will never amount to anything, you are too fat, too skinny, too dumb, too smart, too week, not funny, weird. You are to be seen and not heard, you are too lazy, slow, fast. Whatever we think we are, we very probably are not. For we are a result of other peoples projections.

It is now time to remove all of these labels and be who we authentically are, that beautiful, magnificent person who is in their own power, standing on top of their own personal mountain in victory, with grace and ease.

It is now time to get rid of all of these projections that we have been carrying around all of our life and stop being that person hiding behind the ‘Mask’. Would you like to stop being a victim, and step into the ‘drivers seat of your life’? There is a way, let me show you how.

It is now scientifically proven that Meditation and Hypnosis are two methods that are able to bypass the critical faculty and re-route the neural pathways from negative thoughts and limiting beliefs to positive, empowering thoughts and unlimited potential.

Our conscious mind is our beautiful, creative, high intelligence; unfortunately it only operates between 2-5% of the time. This is called ‘Mindfulness’.

Our sub-conscious mind is the mind we use 95-99% of the time, unfortunately there is no one in their operating it.

Let me explain this to you and give you a clearer picture of how this works. When a toddler is learning to crawl, or walk, it uses thousands of different muscles to be able to engage in this very challenging exercise. It requires intense concentration for long periods of time, to be able to get one leg to move in front of the other one, let alone the arms as well. Now, How often do you think about these muscles or concentrate so precisely on each tiny muscle movement, when you are walking. For some people who go jogging, for kilometers at a time, ask them exactly what they thought about along their journey and they will not be able to tell you. Because, they were operating from their sub-conscious mind, and no one is in there. Yes, they may have stopped and operated their conscious mind, consciously to cross the road, or wait at the traffic lights, then they soon return to their sub-conscious mind.

The same goes, when we are learning to drive. Can you remember how nervous and anxious you were when you first got behind the wheel and had to release the hand brake, especially if you had parked on a slight hill? Then you had 1000’s of instant things going on in your mind all at the same time. Your parent sitting beside you, yelling instructions, the brake to life off as you put your foot down on the accelerator, the blinker to communicate to other drivers where you are going. Then you finally move out into the traffic, and your nervous tension is at very high levels. You have to drive the car in front of you, the cars beside you and the car behind you and all of a sudden you go into overwhelm.

Now let me ask you, exactly what thoughts did you have when you last took that 9-hour road trip? Can you recall exactly how many times you put your right blinker on or how many hill starts you did. Did you even miss the turn off because you weren’t focused on where you were going? The reason is, because you were operating from your sub-conscious mind 90-99% of the time; and no one is in there.

When we are born, our brain is operating at a very slow monitored rate, it operating on the Theta level of brainwave measurement, which continues from 0-2 years of age. Babies don’t learn, they just simply download information. They watch their parents relate to each other, the way they speak, their actions, their tone of voice, the words they choose to use etc. and this information immediately gets downloaded into the babies sub-conscious mind.

When the baby is 2-7, the child’s brain is operating on a slightly more active level; the brainwaves are now being measured as Beta brainwaves. This level is where a child downloads information easily and effortlessly, like a computer, where information is stored and easily retrieved. This is why children from by-lingual speaking families are able to speak fluently 2-4 different languages. If their mother is Spanish, their father is German and they are living in France and traveling around the globe on a regular basis and English is the common language, they are able to communicate with great ease, 4 different languages. Have you ever tried to learn another language as an adult? It isn’t so easy, is it?

Hypnosis and meditation are the only two scientifically proven modalities that are able to measurably lower a humans brainwave pattern down to the Beta and Theta level of measurement, consciously, where the subconscious mind can be re-written from negative thoughts and limiting beliefs to positive thoughts. How do you think this could affect your life? Do you think it could help you achieve your goals? Enhance your performance, achieve gold, reduce weight, and quit smoking? Yes: it most definitely would.

When you are ready to play 100% and get rid of the little black bird of victim based, sabotaging words and replace it with the little ‘brightly coloured birdie’ who sings a song of brilliance, magical success and empowerment, call Elizabeth today and make that appointment now.

Dreams are only achieved when they are actioned; they then become your goals, which are measurable and successful. What is your first action you will take today?

Mindfulness Meditation

It is now scientifically proven that meditation and hypnosis are the only two techniques that slow the brain down to the optimal Alpha and Theta states where the neural pathways can be rewritten from our negative past to our positive future where we become the ‘Drivers of our own Life’ (At Cause), instead of being the victims at someone else’s control, (At Effect).

If you ever notice that you are pointing the finger (being at effect), at outside sources, events, or people for the emotional state you are currently experiencing, then it may be time to bring back the control lever of your own life and re-set, re-calibrate and re-kindle your inner peace again and begin by re-connecting with your highest consciousness through prayer or meditation and (be at cause).

When our connection to our God Light is disconnected and we feel dis-jointed and dis-empowered we tend to point the finger at other people and blame it on them. To re-gain our own personal power with grace and ease, turn that finger around to yourself and cut yourself some slack, be kind and even gentle to yourself and Breathe and Smile.

Countless studies from renowned institutions around the world have proven that meditation has positive effects on health, reduces dis-ease, such as heart disease, hypertension, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, anxiety and stress, and decreases hyperactivity, cholesterol, insomnia, adrenal exhaustion.

It is the only proven technique shown to increase cognitive development in students, increase focus and concentration, improves brain function, expands self-awareness, increases confidence and resilience and personal power with grace and calm—the list goes on

Your brain’s primary function is to think; you may be pleased to know that Meditation doesn’t have to involve your brain becoming completely still, or sitting alone and silent for hours. Mindfulness Meditation is allowing your mind to float like an autumn leaf on a beautiful light breeze, allowing your thoughts to float by, without attachment or judgment.

The truth is, you can actually implement this mindfulness practice at any time—no matter how busy the day, how stressed you feel, or how impossible it seems. In fact, the more you have to achieve, the easier and more productive you will be if you practice mindfulness meditation techniques on a regular basis.

This isn’t to say that there isn’t value in extended, solitary meditation sessions. However, we live in a world where we don’t have a ton of extra time, and we have a constant barrage of earthly demands from work deadlines, family, social and fitness. You will be pleased to learn there are lots of small ways you can use mindfulness and small doses of meditation to make your days calmer, happier, and much less stressful, so you feel in control of your own life and enjoy the benefits of the work/home/life balance.

The following simple tips will help you do just that –

Open up: Release:

Don’t hold in the stress, it doesn’t serve your highest good at all. If we want to receive guidance of any kind, we’ve got to open up the channels and release all the tension. Mindfulness Meditation is possibly the easiest and most accessible to you, as you can practice it on the bus, or train or even walking to work or school. Be aware of the beauty around you and detach from anything negative. Breathing, Stretching, Drawing or doodling helps. Journaling’s great. Talking it out with a friend, family member or professional is pretty good too.

Set an Intention:

If you don’t know where you are going, how will you know when you are there?

Where are you at right now? Where do you want to be? What do you want for yourself today? How will you know you have achieved it? What will it look like, or feel like, when you have it? Make it happen—declare it. Celebrate all of your achievements and acknowledge your learning’s. It is one thing to ‘Go with the Flow’; it is another thing to ‘Just Drift Aimlessly’. With clear goals fully visualized, you can put down the rudder, put up the Sail, then sit back and ‘Steer your Life in The direction of your Dreams’.

Positive Self-Talk:

Be aware of your self-talk and ensure you are speaking to yourself the way you would like someone else to. Ask yourself; honestly! Would you still be friends if your friend/partner/family/colleague spoke to you this way?

Earthing/Ground yourself

Walk barefoot on the grass, sand, earth and allow the earths natural magnetic

Blog_Image_MINDFULNESS-MEDITATION_2.jpg

rhythm, bring you back into balance.

Visualize the roots extend down from your feet, deep into our beautiful earth and visualize yourself connecting with your very own ‘Earth Star’ which sits six inches below your feet.

Eat root vegetables such as carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes and potato’s, or even chocolate is said to be grounding.

What makes you feel steady and stable? Do that often.

Connect to your breath:

Remember to Breathe. When we are stressed, nervous or anxious, we tend to breathe shallowly, often through our mouth, often holding our breath. Have you ever stopped and taken a long deep breath and thought “I should have done that a long time ago?” Every so often, pay attention to the cadence and just feel it. Let it slow you down and bring you back into the focus of ‘right now’.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, or suffering from anxiety, try the Pranic ‘alternate nostril breathing’, it is like putting on your very own oxygen mask. Breathing in through one nostril as far as you can, holding, then breathing out as far as you can and repeat, alternating nostrils after each full cycle of in and out.

This technique is incredibly powerful and centering and grounding; bringing you back from feeling like you were a deer or rabbit caught in the glare of oncoming headlights.

It brings you back from Fear, or operating from that ‘Fight or Flight’ mode of operation, which creates adrenal exhaustion. If this continues unchecked, it leads to and chronic fatigue or disease.

Gratitude:

Acknowledging ‘5’ things you are grateful for, often it is the simplest things we take for granted that we don’t even stop to give thanks for.

My grandmother used to say; “instead of complaining you have no shoes to wear, have gratitude you have feet to put them on”.

Do we ever stop and give thanks to our heart, for never missing a beat?

Or the fresh, clean drinking water we have the luxury of, whenever we want it.

Your warm bed

Your beautiful partner/family/friends, pets.

To name just a few; continue being thankful for everything you have, everyone in your life, obstacles that become open doors, and all the little miracles we take for granted.

Let go:

It just is. Sometimes no amount of control can move the needle so all you can do is nothing. And true control is effortless anyway. Often we look back, and have gratitude for the event that brought change into our lives, for we wouldn’t be where we are today if life stayed completely still and unchanging. (Would we really want it to?)

If jobs, houses, friends/ partners/ family members or colleagues leave our lives, it is because you have now both got the learning’s to move on.

Take care of your health, inside and out:

Our Physical body is the vessel or suitcase that carries our soul around, on our journey to live the life we have chosen to live on Mother Earth. In respect of this beautiful body we have chosen, it is in our highest good to honor it with organic, healthy foods, filtered water and positive thoughts.

We also need to nurture our Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Bodies as well, to ensure we live a happy and abundant life.

Doing something positive for your body has positive effects on the mind, as well. Whether it’s cooking yourself a satisfying meal, grocery shopping for organic produce, or choosing a green smoothie, every positive decision you make for your health is a gift.

Use doTERRA Essential oils like Balance, Frankincense and Sandalwood to enhance your serotonin levels and improves your blood flow. Apply One drop of balance under the feet, one drop of frankincense on your forehead, and a drop of Sandalwood on your wrists. You can also use In Tune Focus Blend, which has Sandalwood and Frankincense included in it.

Vision Board

Empowered you vision board
Creating MAGICAL Happiness

IF YOU COULD WAVE A MAGIC WAND AND MAGICALLY TRANSFORM ONE THING IN YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

If you don’t know where you are going, how do you expect to get there? And how will you recognise the steps you have to take to achieve measurable and achievable success. A Dream is only wish and will never come true until you Step into the driver’s seat of your life.

How to do it:

Rule no. 1 – Ho no limitations in your mind focus on brining toward you everything that you can visualise. There is now proof if you can visualise it – you can achieve it. You will be empowered during the ‘Creating Magical Happiness’ weekend workshop all limiting beliefs and all negative emotions that are currently sabotaging your efforts in achieving magical happiness will be removed.

Remember! You get what you focus on: Ensure you are focusing on what you truly wish to bring toward you in 2016.

Creating a vision board is probably one of the most valuable visualisation tools available to you. This powerful tool serves as your image of the future – a tangible representation of where you are going. It represents your dreams, your goals, and your ideal life. For example, your dream holiday to that incredible destination, career, home, partner, wedding to name only a few.

Visualisation is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do.
Put yourself in the picture:

Add pics of you and your loved ones, or proposed partner in the happiest times of your life. Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel, the higher and happier the emotion the more it will come to life, as it uplifts your spirit and personal vibration every time you look at it. You will get excited, and this excitement is likened to ‘The Secret’, it creates a vibration that brings toward you what you focus on.

Here’s an example. I have a beautiful Spiritual Art and Healing Center on my vision board (pictured above), I have always visualised french doors with small glass windows framed in white, overlooking a paved courtyard off my lounge room; overlooking my pool. I now live in this place in Elderslie and love the power and the energy this amazing place bring to both my clients and to myself. I want my clients to feel those same happy vibes when they come to my healing center, so on the board it went.

I added few trinkets, like a Buddha, an angel and a Ganesh, that I picked up on my travels. When I’m in my home office, I want to feel the same way I felt when travelling to destinations, also on my visualisation board.

A few quotes and reminders round out my board and I truly feel giddy every time I look at it.

There is only one major rule to creating a vision board that works, and it’s that there aren’t any rules. You aren’t going to mess it up; you can create your vision board on your own terms. Here are the answers to the most common questions people ask:

The purpose of your vision board is to bring everything on it to life. First, think about what your goals are in the following areas: relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth (including spirituality, social life, education) and health.

You don’t have to cover each area exactly the same, just take a mental inventory of what you want each of those areas to look like and write them down.

Always handwrite your goals instead of typing them, there’s something energetic about actually handwriting your goals. From your goals and aspirations, think about what you want on your vision board. Like I said before, what you focus on expands. You’ll be amazed at how things just start popping up all over the place once you set the intention for what you want and how you want to feel.

My Vision Board is an old timber Cello back, I found in the woodwork room where I used to teach Design and Technology. I use blue tack, sticky tape, string, wire, Christmas trinkets from a special bon bon at Christmas just passed to remind me how important celebrations, loved ones and family are.

I sometimes update it without a special date. I often leave blank space on my vision board so I can accept new things as they appear in my life, and add and rearrange during the year when I feel it. You’ll just know. Then, every December, I give the board a total refresh to get clear about what I want in the New Year. Some things stay and some have served their purpose and don’t make the cut.

What you’ll need:

  • The biggest, juiciest goal you can imagine.
  • A Happy and Positive Attitude.
  • Coloured cardboard or backing board. You may start with a cork board or poster board from the hardware store; I recommend a pin board or something pretty you like to look at.
  • If you want, fun markers, stickers, or anything else you can think of to deck out your board. I don’t use that stuff, but if embellishments make you feel great, then go for it.
  • Magazines that you can cut images and quotes from.
  • Most importantly, the stuff you want to look at every day. Photos, quotes, sayings, images of places you want to go, reminders of events, places, or people, postcards from friends and just about anything that will inspire you.

Remember:

The Destination or the Goal will always stay the same if you are determined to see it through to your achievement list at the end of this year. However: the Path may vary as obstacles or new opportunities come onto your path to challenge your determination and test ‘How important is it to you?’

Stay true to your innermost voice and hear the words of your own soul speaking to you. When we lose our way, we lose our connection to our God; we heal or re-pair this connection again through the repeated use of prayer or meditation.

Listen and you will hear

Look and you will see

Touch and you will feel

Sniff and you will smell

Stop and you will breathe

Meditate and you will connect, both with yourself and your God.

The power of prayer or meditation in group is much more powerful than done alone, so practice with a group that brings happiness, peace and like minds and souls together and your connection will be all the more powerful.

It is moments of stillness, that the noise in our head resides to allow us to hear the quiet inner connection and guidance so we can get back onto our path and re-connect, re-pair and re-direct our energies and focus on what we really want to bring toward us.

There is a misconception that meditation only brings you happy, feel good emotions and that feeling of Bliss; while this is most often the case, meditation does allow your unconscious mind the space to bring thoughts to the surface when you are ready to deal and fully resolve them.

The doorway to success in Meditation and Hypnosis is the Unconscious Mind. Your unconscious Mind not only holds information that is outside your consciousness, but it also manages sensations and body functions.

Our Brain and our Mind are never ending and constantly moving, like all of the muscles in our body. When we meditate, it does allow the brain to slow down and this results in a blissful, healing state of higher consciousness. It is in this state that our unconscious mind becomes more heightened and often brings in solutions to our problems that we were previously worrying about. It is in this state of heightened awareness that our Unconscious Mind can communicate with every cell in the body. The Mind/Body connection, which scientists have recently discovered, has been known by people who connect in meditation for 1000’s of years. Not only does information from the Mind affect the body, there is now scientific evidence that your mental processes, mental states, and mental behaviours affect all the cells in your body all the time.

Information is carried within the body in the form of electrical impulses that pass through the cells, or neurons. Optimum health or disease is created in our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, according to the vibration or level of our mind/body connection. When we have continuous bad or low vibration thoughts, we get discomfort or dis-ease in our physical body. If this low level of thought continues, dis-ease then takes its ugly grip on us and we then become even more stressed and uncomfortable.

Meditation is scientifically proven to raise the level of our unconscious mind and bring optimum healing to every cell in our body. Performed on a daily basis, the body becomes more aligned and operates at optimum level.

The power of prayer or meditation is shown to either increase or reduce the following:

Reduces Increases
Anxiety Confidence
Depression Resilience
Sadness Focus
Stress Clarity
Anger Increased lengths of concentration
Frustration Positivity
Fear Improved relationships
High Blood Pressure Optimum Health
Cholesterol Inner Peace
Diabetes Harmony
Obesity Joy
Insomnia Love
Some forms of Cancer Abundance
REMEMBER: You are what you Focus on: ensure you are focusing on exactly what you want to bring toward you. Meditation creates a space in your unconscious mind that helps you to visualize exactly what you want to have and behold. There is no secret in ‘The Secret’; it is all energy and vibration. If you act as if you already have it, then you will ‘have it’. It is that easy!

MEDITATE today and every day for optimum Mind, Body, Spirit health.

Alternate Nostril Breathing

Simply by practising a few rounds of alternate nostril breathing (pranayama) for a few minutes each day, you can help restore imbalances in your brain –improve sleep – calm your emotional state – boost your thinking – calm your nervous system.

Another interesting fact about your nostrils, is that you don’t breathe through them equally all the time. Right now, you will be favouring either your left nostril or your right nostril. Left nostril for calming – right nostril for energy:

Your nose is directly linked to your brain and nervous system. For thousands of years the Indian yogis believe that many diseases are connected to disturbed nasal breathing.

Breathing in through your left nostril will access the right “feeling” hemisphere of your brain, and breathing in through your right nostril, will access the left “thinking” hemisphere of your brain.

Consciously alternating your breath between either nostril will allow you to activate and access your whole brain.

I believe alternate nostril breathing is up there, as one of the most therapeutic calming rituals. It’s the very reason I include it at all my Meditation classes and workshops.

It profoundly helps to settle, cool, calm and nourish an agitated mind and wired nervous system. Even after only two minutes you can feel and notice a distinct difference as to how you feel.

12 benefits of alternate nostril breathing

Revitalizes you:

A few rounds of alternate nostril breathing is a quick pick me up if you are feeling flat, tired or even stressed. It provides your body with a much needed dose of extra energy.

Improves brain function:

When you mind is dull – concentration and clarity is poor. Alternate nostril breathing brings equal amounts of oxygen to both sides of the brain for improved brain function. Five minutes of alternate nostril breathing before an exam or interview is a great way to access your whole brain for improved performance. Remember the brain loses hydration first so drink water as well.

Cleanses your lungs:

A daily five minute practice morning and night of alternate nostril breathing is great way to remove stale air and impurities from the bottom of your lungs.

It wasn’t until I started reading the The Tao of Natural Breathing by Dennis Lewis that I discovered something I did not know. 70% of our body’s waste products are eliminated via our lungs.

Calms an agitated mind:

I’m prone to worrying. A few minutes of focused alternate nostril breathing is helpful (for me) in calming my “over thinking” and “over-doing” mind.

The ancient yogis believe that if you can regulate your breath, then you can control your mind.

Merges the left “thinking” brain and right “feeling brain:

Alternate nostril breathing optimizes both sides of your brain so you can access your whole brain, and all the benefits that go with it.

Try it out next time you need to drive your car. Cover your left nostril with your thumb and breathe only through your right nostril for one minute. This should keep you more alert when driving.

Encourage a calmer emotional state:

In times of emotional distress and upset, a few rounds of mindful nostril breathing will soften the intensity of over reactive emotional states. The longer you practice, the more stable your thinking, and the calmer your emotions will become.

Improves sleep:

If you can’t sleep at night lay on your right hand side, gently close your right nostril with your right thumb and breath through your left nostril. This will activate your parasympathetic nervous system which will calm you down and slow your heart rate. Left nostril breathing is cooling, calming and nourishing for your whole being.

* Calming yoga pose for insomnia:

Great preparation for meditation:

Alternate nostril breathing is a simple little trick that can be practiced for a few minutes before you begin yourmeditation practice. It’s a very easy way to help you find your meditation groove.

Soothes your nervous system:

By focusing on your breath and deepening it, your brain will register this message and trigger the parasympathetic nervous system. You have effectively switched your nervous system from a stressed response, into a relaxation response. Single left nostril breathing (by closing your right nostril) will direct the flow of oxygen and energy to the right hemisphere of your brain, allowing once again, for the parasympathetic nervous system to be switched on. Gosh, your breath and nose is very clever.

Regulates the cooling and warming cycles of the body:

Left nostril is feminine, nurturing, calm, receiving and cooling. Right nostril is masculine, heat, competitive, doing, active and force. Favouring one nostril more than the other can effect the heat or coolness of your body.

Clears and boosts your energy channels:

Slightly forced alternate nostril breathing improves and directs the flow of energy throughout your body – preventing sluggishness. It oxygenates your blood and allows the energy (prana) in your body to be strong and flowing.

Enhances rest and relaxation:
